Staying Grounded in a High Voltage World

Staying grounded in a high-voltage world is more critical today than ever. Grounding is not a new concept to electricians or to grounding off electricity in your home. However, the idea of grounding the electrical system of our human energy field is. Understanding how dynamic and life-changing grounding yourself can allow you greater flexibility and stability in everything you focus on. Grounding is considered a spiritual technique because it assists your spiritual body in remaining steady in your human 3rd-dimensional existence. Without a grounded spirit, you may be carried off by the chaos and noise of our drama-filled world.


Grounding is an invisible magnetic force working with the Earth’s gravitation pull.
Everyone has a grounding force, but most people do not experience a strong, unwavering force of grounding. When I turn on my clairvoyant (3rd eye) sight to look at how grounded you are, I will see many different types of grounding. In our foundational learning course (Psychic Mastery 1), we lead you through a process to learn how to work with your grounding. For each level of understanding you grow into, you will always begin with grounding yourself in the earth’s center.


I have witnessed a variety of ways most people work with their grounding. Let me share with you what I have noticed. In a regular healthy grounding, I will see a strong force of energy that connects to the lower portion of your energy field (navel and hips) and then passes through multiple layers of the deep earth where the gravitational pull joins you and takes your grounding force deeper and deeper before rooting into the magnetic core. In a natural organic grounding, you will experience feeling solid and stable in your physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual balance. You are less likely to fall, have out-of-control emotions, or scattered thought patterns. Your intuitive accuracy increases in precision, allowing you to gain a higher trust level in your gut instincts. Read, I can’t stuff life anymore (a blog post), where grounding can help you to release overwhelming emotions.


The non-healthy grounding pattern includes thin string energy, grounding that does not go to the earth’s center. Other types are cut-off grounding, floating in the water (emotions), or grounding in another person’s energy field. A popular but unhealthy way of grounding is when your grounding is split in multiple directions because your friends and family rely on you to be the stable one in the family. High Voltage Stress demands high voltage grounding!

Your grounding can intuitively have a feeling, sensation, sound, color, and texture, but if you do not experience anything, this does not mean you are broken. Your intuitive type may come from a state of pure knowing, such as, I know my grounding is firm, I know my grounding is anchored deeply, I just know my grounding has a color and a sound, I just know it is enough. Most of my students and clients are advanced intuitive knowers, yet I wish they had all the other abilities. Grounding enhances your ability to trust your intuitive knowledge.


Here is the good news. Because being grounded is a quantum energy field, shifting into a healthy state is easy. Keeping your grounding consistent and reliable might take a little practice. This is why, in my courses, I have you practice your grounding in all situations. Getting out in nature surrounded by trees is a great way to get more grounded. Taking your shoes off and letting your feet feel the earth is another way to ground yourself. Pretending you are a tree with deep roots also works, especially if you cannot get out in nature. We live in high-voltage times, so being well-grounded will significantly help you de-stress regardless of what is overwhelming you.


What are some of the ungrounded experiences you have had in the past? Imagine you’re walking across the room, and—zap!—you shock someone with a jolt of static electricity. Or perhaps the lights flicker when you’re stressed, your new phone stops working, or your appliances seem to break immediately. What if I told you this wasn’t a coincidence? What if it’s your energy field trying to tell you something? Our bodies are like power grids, connected to the world’s energy. Our systems can overload when the frequency rises—from stress, spiritual growth, or chaos. Just like electrical appliances need grounding to function correctly, so do we. Often, it’s an inability to ground off high-voltage body energy surges. Without appropriate grounding for your energy levels, your energy can shoot out in all directions.


Your aura, chakras, meridians, and acupuncture points all require an electrical impulse to keep your body firing on all cylinders. Your human energy field is like a power grid that lights up like a Christmas tree. Imagine Christmas lights rolled up in a box and placed in the attic or basement for the year. It’s like not tending to your energetic self-care for a year. Then you take the Christmas lights out of the box, plug them in, and the string of lights does not come on. Have you ever reviewed each bulb to find out which one was blown? Or does a partial part of the lights not work, so you must replace the entire string? Your own personal energy field can be just like that string of lights. Short-circuiting out, blowing a fuse, from lack of grounding is often common.


Thirty years ago, I was beginning to learn more about my spiritual development and how grounding is essential for conscious expanding intentions. As a nurse, imagining an invisible grounding force could make a difference in my life was hard. My 18-year relationship had ended, our house had sold, and I was packing and moving out. I first noticed that all of the lights in my house flickered whenever I walked into the room. It was a super-hot day, and the air-conditioning had stopped working. It was downhill from there as my computer blew up, the motor to my water pumping well stopped working, and my car’s alternator was fried. This created an additional $10,000 in repairs when I had no extra money to spare.


I reached out to a friend who was experienced in all things paranormal. I was sure there must have been a trickster spirit messing with me. She suggested I get energy healing from someone who could help me ground my energy. To my surprise, it was not a ghostly presence messing with me! It was my stress level that was the culprit! Not only was my stress level down after the treatment, but no other appliances blew up, and my ability to solve all of these issues quickly unfolded in a non-stressed-out way.

  1. Getting out in nature amongst the trees.
  2. Take your shoes off (even in Winter) and press your feet’ soles into the earth.
  3. Eating root vegetables, such as potatoes, beets, turnips, and squash.

  5. Doing ‘hands-on’ activities such as washing dishes, cleaning the house, working in the garden, doing a creative project, cooking, and baking (to name a few).
