Should You Cut Energy Cords?

Should you cut energy cords is a huge question when it comes to trying to separate your energy from someone else. I am guided to talk about this as a follow up to last weeks blog post and video about; Is Someone’s Energy in your Aura? If you missed the blog that includes the video, click here to read the full write up. Someone’s energy being in our Aura is different than an energy cord. You can have an energy cord from someone and NOT have their energy in your aura. These are complex advanced levels of understanding energy patterns in relationships, but I will attempt to describe them in ways that is easily understandable.
What is an Energy Cord? Well, it is exactly what the description says. It is a cord made up of energy. The cord can be the size of a hair, a number 2 pencil, dime, nickel, quarter, and some can be as large as a tennis ball. The larger the circumference of an energy cord, the more you are influenced by that persons energy and personality traits. Also, the larger the cord, the more stubborn it can be to remove it. The energy qualities can be soft and billowy or hard like a garden hose with fibers running through it. The cords can come in all kinds of color, but the typical color is white, grey, or black. Some energy cords can come with a large emotional impact causing the energy cord to have a larger layer of emotions surrounding the energy cord causing you to clear all the emotions around it before getting to the core cord.

What is the purpose of an energy cord? The simple straight forward answer is for spiritual communication. At our 3rd dimensional human realm we communicate through verbal words through our voice box. We also communicate through our body language, facial expressions and tone of our voice. When you wish to talk to someone else, you will pick up your cell phone and call them. Now imagine back in 1990 when we did not have cell phones, we used phones with cords attached to the wall. You would walk over and pick up the phone attached by a cord and phone your friend who then would pick up the phone on the other end and they too would have a cord connected to the wall. Between those 2 phones, your voice would travel along the cord, through the telephone wires on telephone poles over to your friends house and through the wall cord causing their phone to ring so they would pick it up and hear your voice and talk back to you. So energy cords are information highways that communicate back and forth at high spiritual levels.

Are energy cords good or bad for you? Well, it depends on the intention of energy that is influencing the cord. If the cord is intended to communicate love, then it can be a good cord. However, if the intention is meant to communicate possessive love, then the cord may not be beneficial to you. Healthy energy cords are the ones that are exchanged for the purpose of communicating spiritual information. Once the conversation is over, then both of you would retract your energy cords, just like you would if you were hanging up the telephone. Communication is over. However, if you do not feel like you were able to say everything you wanted to say, then you might leave your energy cord attached to their 5th chakra (communication chakra). That cord can remain there until you feel the issue is resolved. Do any of you have issues that have never been resolved to your satisfaction? Then it is highly likely that you are still connected to that person through your energy cord…even if you have not spoken to them in 20 years.

Can energy cords make someone feel sick? Absolutely! If an energy cord is so old and filled with old unresolved issues then it can turn a dark black filled with toxic energy. Someone could dislike you and even hate you which is intentional harm if they send hatred through an energy cord. It makes the sender sick as well because the connection to you through their hatred is now flowing back and forth between the two of you. It wears down the immune system and drains your vitality. You can also feel sick if you have energy cords that are old and outdated through spiritual agreements. Let say for example, you have an agreement with your spouse to send you the energy of confidence through an energy cord. Then you grow over the years in your own ability to feel confident and no longer want to rely on your partner helping you to feel confident. Yet, the spouse doesn’t want to let go of the energy cord and wants you to still rely on them. Your own spiritual growth can not go further until you release your spouses cord. An addicts cord can dampen your energy because the addicts energy is low. In turn you can feel sick being connected to them.

Should you cut energy cords? No, is the simple straight forward question. Can you cut energy cords? Yes, absolutely, but should you is the real question. You want to release the cords intact back to the other person. So lets go back to the old dial up telephone example. What if you cut the phone line? The cords are still hanging out of the wall, still connected to the telephone pole. Or lets say you have water running through a hose, and you cut the hose. Water continues to pour out on both sides. Leaving you and the other person in a state of draining energy out of your energy field and their energy field but the main base of the cord still remains in your aura losing energy. Now imagine you have been stabbed by a dagger and the blade has gone into your body really deep. Now cut the handle off of the dagger. Is part of the dagger still in your body? Yes, it is, providing another analogy.

Is there a healthy way of removing an energy cord? Yes, the healthier way to remove an energy cord is to locate the base of the cord. The base of an energy cord is made up of old memories, behavior patterns, emotional attachments, and belief systems. The base can be sticky and large, where the cord buries itself and sends out roots to help it to hang in there. I imagine it is like a Velcro patch and one Velcro patch is in the base and the other patch is at the tip of the energy cord and the two stick together. If you cut a cord, the base remains attracting another cord. You will continue to attract similar energy cords until the base is completely healed and dissolved. In some cases it can take weeks, months and years to release the base. UGH! I know that might not be want you want to hear but it is either a life time of removing cords or intentional healing time to remove the cords once and for all be done with it. It is kind of complex and something I teach in more detail in Psychic Mastery 2.

Is there ever a situation where I would leave the energy cord in? Yes, this is why you do not want to be so quick to slice and dice cords when you find them. Infants and children, have small cords attached to their mother and their father because they are reliant on their parents to keep them safe, and know their needs. If you have never released the cords when your children are teens, young adults, or older adults, it is challenging for the child to learn how to trust their own information because you are feeling them energy information through your cords. They may not want you to let go and they send cords to you because they are afraid to grow up and be responsible. Another reason you might leave a cord would be if your loved one is going through a rough time with maybe and illness or major decision in life. Sending a small heart cord to their heart can fuel them with your love while they learn through their life lessons.

The topic of energy cords, can open your mind to concepts that you literally have never thought about before. When I first heard about these spiritual cords, I found myself being a little over board in the paranoia department like someone just told me I am filled with bedbugs. You have been exchanging energy cords with others since the time you were conceived in the womb and your parents bonded with you. Learning to identify cords and clear them out in healthy ways is only one part of your spiritual healing journey. I have a lot of tricks up my sleeve as a psychic teacher who sees energy.
