Unraveling the Effects on Mental Health in a Changing World

Introduction:

Awakening the mind in an awakening world starts with unraveling the effects of how we define mental health in a changing world. Our mental health is being destabilized by the multiple paradigm shifts we experience. It’s as if our thinking suddenly changes after a conversation, a video, or even a new perspective on an issue. This shift can make our previous mental patterns seem nonexistent. As a nurse, I have a baseline understanding of mental health stability, although I’m not a therapist. I can’t fully tap into the nuances of each individual’s unique experience, but I recognize that stress levels are currently high. We’ve all been through so much, and while our minds excel at problem-solving, our bodies often struggle to keep up due to the constant movement within our human energy field. Do you find yourself asking the question, what is happening to my mind? Are you experiencing lapses of time, time-bending into shorter segments than what you know to be? Just the other day I was performing an activity that I had done hundreds of times before. I knew the time frame required to finish the task and yet this time the task was completed in half the time. I found myself going back over the start time, thinking I had gotten it wrong in my head. My mind is awakening to time bending and time warps but I certainly can not rationalize the experience. Here is my blog post on space time bending, and time warps.

Heightened Activity in Dream World:

Even our dream world has become more active. Personally, I’ve never been one to remember my dreams, but recently I’ve been living vividly within them. I can recall my dreams and the astral journeys I embark upon. It feels as though the light switch is always on, with increased activity during the day and heightened experiences at night. These shifts can be disorienting and challenging to navigate. What is your dream world like? Have you been noticing any changes in the qualities of your dreams? Maybe you have always been a light sleeper and now suddenly you are so deeply asleep that the walls could be falling down around you and you might not notice enough to wake up. Then we can not ignore that many are having high levels of insomnia too! This just might be the right time to start a dream journal just in case spiritual messages from beyond start coming through our dreams.

Expanding Consciousness and Its Consequences:

When I had my out-of-body experience, it felt like a pocket watch popping open, scattering gears all over the table. I desperately tried to return my mind to its previous state, but I had already expanded into a higher state of consciousness. My perception of my husband, children, and even my role as a nurse had drastically changed. I could now see the physical, emotional, and mental aspects of illness in the human energy field. The way I viewed people and their problems underwent a profound transformation. I thought I was crazy, simply based on what I had learned in nursing school. I learned that it is not normal to see or hear things that are not there. I am fortunate to have parents who are Medical and Psychological doctors. Ten years ago, I attend a film lecture titled, “Crazy Wise” with the subtitle, are you crazy or are you wise and I could see myself in those stories. Click here to visit the Crazy Wise website.

De-Stabilizing Mental Health:

De-stabilizing mental health occurs when our perspectives, conditioned by our human experiences and judgments, start to shift. This is one of the main reasons mental health is at an all-time high level of crisis with therapists in high demand and short supply. It’s similar to the feeling of driving home and realizing you don’t remember how you got there. Time warps, dimensional shifts, and the bending of time become constant occurrences. Back in 1998, my teacher Mary Ellen Flora warned that a rapid awakening was approaching, urging us to intensify our personal work in preparation. However, the pace was often too much for our human bodies, emotions, minds, and family lives to handle. Engaging in intensive healing or meditation processes can bring chaos to those around us, leading some to halt their own healing journey due to the overwhelming disruptions experienced by loved ones.

The Challenge of Integration:

During my own rapid healing process, my husband demanded that I stop meditating in “his” house, causing constant conflict. Eventually, we separated and divorced after 18 years. This accelerated the crises I was already facing due to the rapid pace of my personal transformation. I decided to step away from the program I was in, seeking stability amidst the chaos. Taking a year off allowed everything to calm down, and when I re-entered the program, I approached it with newfound grounding and determination to cope with the challenges. This experience deeply affected my mental health, but it was necessary for the emergence of a healthier state of mind. Have you had experience with putting your physical, emotional, and mental health well-being first, causing conflict in your own household? Did it seem worth it to keep going or do you often find it is just so much easier to stop rocking the boat and just ride the waves of others’ needs? I know there was a time in the peak of going through the divorce when I said to myself, why didn’t I just stop meditating? It would have been so much easier on myself and my children. In my courses, this is what is called a belief system that you hold as a truth but it is actually a lie you tell yourself to keep the peace. Can you relate to what I am saying?

The Urgency of Inner Transformation:

In 2005, I read a book by Tibetan Khandro Rinpoche, who emphasized the importance of personal internal transformation as if “Your Hair is on Fire”! This urgency reminds us that meditation, stillness, and connecting with our own souls are not activities reserved for idle moments. Even when we’re tempted to stream Netflix and zone out, we must prioritize making time for ourselves. Just 10 minutes a day can build mental resilience to withstand high- and low-level stressors. If I had a dollar for every time someone told me that they have never been able to meditate, I would be very wealthy. The truth is, you are unique and have your own way of moving through the world. What I am saying is this; You simply have not found the right form of meditation that perfectly meets your needs. The Intuitive Mind Style of meditation is a more mentally active form of quieting the mind, body, and emotions. We use imagination, playfulness, and guidance to move energy through the body. As a nurse, I have found this form of meditation for my students highly doable because your mind also gets to be involved. How often when you were a child were you told to sit still, be quiet, and just listen? There is a true urgency calling us towards inner transformation. If one type of meditation does not work for you then try another until you are content with the meditation format.

The Changing World and the Imperative for Personal Growth:

As we find ourselves in 2023, the choice to develop our intuition and spiritual center is no longer optional. The world is changing at an accelerated pace, and our mental health is at stake. We can no longer rely solely on conventional mental health models that focus on crisis management, isolation, neglect, and emotional fragility. Talk therapy is vital when it comes to learning new coping skills and understanding where your behavior models came from. These models do not adequately address the impact of spiritual frequency shifts and awakening experiences. For instance, sensing spirits, hearing voices, or seeing auras are not necessarily signs of insanity but manifestations of our dormant abilities surfacing. There are many conversations involving the question of whether you having anxiety or is it your intuition attempting to get your attention. Imagine your intuitive sensitivities are like a doorbell ringing to let you know there is some insight and wisdom about a situation that needs your attention.

Seeking Support and Early Intervention:

Acknowledging and accepting these spiritual experiences can be challenging, as they often create a crisis of faith in our own mental well-being. It is crucial to seek professional help and find support from loved ones during these experiences to ensure early intervention for any potential psychosis. Recognizing the difference between a spiritual awakening and mental health concerns is crucial, as both require attention and care. As a nurse, I support proactive steps to prevent mental health crises. As a Professional Teacher of Intuitive/Psychic Development for 20+ years, I have witnessed thousands of students quickly resolve issues of anxiety, depression, and hopelessness just by adding a meditation routine to their day. When the students realize they are sensitive and can easily pick up on subtle intuitive impressions, a whole new world opens up to them. Soon their ability to manage their own energy field’s responses to life becomes empowering and hope-filled.
